Religion : A la découverte de Monseigneur Ndjadi Ndjate, nouvel évêque auxiliaire de l’Archidiocèse de Kisangani.
Le 13 Mai 2023, l’Archidiocèse de Kisangani a connu le nom de son évêque auxiliaire. Il s’agit de Monseigneur Léonard NDJADI NDJATE qui devient ainsi le troisième évêque auxiliaire de l’archidiocèse de Kisangani succédant à leurs excellences Messeigneurs Alphonse-Marie RUNIGA -1976-1980- et Laurent MONSENGWO -1980-1988.
Qui est Monseigneur Léonard NDJATE NDJADI ?
Né à Yanonge, dans l’ancienne région du Haut – Zaïre, le 2 janvier 1976, Léonard NDJADI NDJATE débute ses études primaires à l’école primaire Bangwandi à Kisangani, études primaires qu’il va parachever à Kindu à l’école primaire Tokolote. C’est à Kisangani qu’il fera ses études secondaires au collège Maële.
Léonard NDJADI NDJATE va, ensuite se lancer à l’étude de la philosophie au philosophat Edith Stein, pour enchaîner avec la théologie à l’Institut Saint Eugène de Mazenod à Kinshasa. Actuellement, Monseigneur Léonard NDJADI NDJATE est licencié en théologie spirituelle de l’université pontificale grégorienne à Rome avec la spécialité en formation vocationnelle.
Le nouvel archevêque auxiliaire de l’Archidiocèse de Kisangani a fait sa profession solennelle le 10 octobre 2005 et a été ordonné prêtre le 13 août 2006, à l’âge de 30 ans, par Monseigneur Laurent MONSENGWO PASINYA, alors archevêque métropolitain de Kisangani.
Il a exercé plusieurs fonctions et poursuivi des études complémentaires. Il a été, notamment, curé à Bangui, en République Centrafricaine et conseiller provincial. Il a poursuivi les études de théologie spirituelle à l’Université pontificale grégorienne de Rome, de 2013 à 2015.
De 2015 à 2019, Mgr Léonard Ndjadi Ndjate a été maître des novices au Noviciat international combonien pour l’Afrique francophone à Cotonou, Bénin. De 2020 à ce jour, Supérieur Provincial de la Congrégation des Missionnaires Comboniens du Cœur de Jésus pour la République Démocratique du Congo.
Mgr Léonard NDJATE NDJADI sera ordonné évêque le dimanche 13 août 2023 dans la cour scolaire du lycée technique Mapendano. Sa devise épiscopale, « deletare in Domino » (se réjouir dans le Seigneur).
